Embolden Real Estate, LLC

Ronette C. Slamin is the founder and principal of Embolden Real Estate, LLC, a new real estate, a development and consulting firm focused on entitlement, stakeholder engagement, and project management. In the development arena, the firm is focused on mixed-income and mixed-use housing projects.

A newcomer in the industry, Embolden Real Estate opened in August of 2021. But Ronette is a seasoned professional. Her seven-year career in real estate development covers community engagement, feasibility reporting, securing funding, marketing strategy, government relations, and more. She has a penchant for delivering large-scale projects that elevate and add value to communities. Her extensive knowledge and expertise on affordable housing regulations, finance, and budget management were honed while managing projects with budgets in excess of $500 million dollars.


Prior to opening Embolden, Ronette worked was a senior project manager who led a team of 100, including architects, engineers, and contractors. They completed a 900-unit mixed-income, mixed-use project with 40,000 sq. ft. of retail space. She also previously directed a team of public and private stakeholders including community leaders through the development of a 380,000 sq. ft. mixed-use project with a budget of $125 million dollars.


Ronette holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College.


Ronette is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s “Urban Plan Women’s Leadership Initiative” steering committee, sits on the board of the Builders of Color Coalition, and is an African American Real Estate Professional, D.C. Chapter member.
